Quick DipsRemote Control RoverRoving dogs a problem? Fencing can be expensive and whistling ineffectual, but a sonic boundary may be just the thing. Sonic Invisible Boundaries has developed a system that sends a radio signal from a boundary wire to a receiver on the dog's collar. When the dog nears the boundary, an audible beep is emitted from the collar unit. If the dog gets too close to the buried wire, it gets a small sharp shock from the collar's battery pack. Veterinarians have checked the system and approved it for dogs ranging from dachshunds to Dobermans. One man has surrounded his bed with the wire to stop his German shepherds jumping on him in the morning, says SIB's Barry Meikle. |
