Quick DipsMicrowave Road RepairsAn Auckland company is using microwave technology to repair tarseal roads. The microwave pavement heating unit is mounted on a truck that travels at a very slow 75-600 mm per minute. The unit heats the road surface and the tarseal patching. This produces a hot bond that is water-resistant, making the patch last longer. Demm, Vol 28, No 7 |
