RetortsFilling A Gap?It's great to see that at long last a publisher has taken the initiative to print material on science and technology for the general interest reader. This is something I have been wanting the news media to do for a long time. I would be very pleased to receive a copy of the first issue of New Zealand Science Monthly, and wish you well for its future. Clive Matthewson, Minister of Science (DSIR) May I congratulate you on this initiative at a time when science is undergoing quite fundamental changes and at a time when I believe science and technology requires more exposure, more information and better communication than ever before. I look forward to hearing further from you regarding progress with the "(New Zealand) Science Monthly". Margaret Austin, Minister of Research, Science and Technology I wish you well and very much hope the proposed New Zealand Science Monthly materialises. The need for such a publication has never been more pressing. Bill Williams, Information and public affairs officer, University of Auckland |
