Starting with science the book shows how various branches of science are applied to everyday technology and how technology has advanced through the ages. The appendix includes chronological lists on inventions and discoveries along with an extensive glossary and index. Each topic has a section on key facts and statistics, a short text essay and a quick reference data file on important discoveries and inventions.
