Quick DipsSummer ScienceStudents at both ends of the country were enthusiastic about the opportunities to learn more about science at the summer science courses run by Auckland and Otago Universities. In Auckland, the Fletcher Challenge Science Summer School saw 120 sixth formers spend two weeks studying a range of subjects. These included botany, chemistry, geology, physics and applied mathematics. Students at Otago's second Summer Science Camp worked cooperatively on a variety of projects, presenting papers on their work at the conclusion of the camp. |
