Summer Science Tangle

Jane was excited to be going off to the Summer Science Camp. She had eight topics to investigate during the five-day camp, and hoped to be able to make up her mind which subjects she wanted to study at university.

Given the following information, in what order did Jane do the subjects?

Jane did the forensics unit before going to the biochemistry lab session, but after she'd done the genetic engineering project, which she did before the astronomy lecture. The cognitive psychology workshop came before the geology field trip. The environmental studies discussion group came after the astronomy lecture and the genetic engineering project, which she did on the second day of the camp.

The geology field trip and the biochemistry lab session happened after the astronomy lecture, which was given before the tour of the electrical engineering department, which occurred before the geology field trip and the forensics unit, but after the cognitive psychology workshop, which followed the environmental studies discussion group.

Jane missed the first day of the science camp, and her choices meant that she could do only two topics during the first three days of the camp. The fourth day was a busy one, which included the geology field trip, the environmental studies discussion group and the cognitive psychology workshop. Two subjects weren't done until the last day of the camp.
