Quick DipsEnvironmental SchoolUp to 50 senior secondary school students will be spending a week of their May holidays on an innovative environmental studies course. Organised by Victoria University, the course topics include endangered species, energy, and management of reserves. "The programme aims to involve senior Wellington secondary students in a selection of activities which demonstrate the multidisciplinary nature and wide relevance of `environmental studies' to issues and practical concerns which ultimately affect everyone," says co-ordinator Dr Mary McIntyre. |
