Quick DipsMuck for BrassHomeowners who are sick of buying topsoil full of stones and clay will soon be able to buy a manufactured high-quality, weed-free soil. The product, called Biosoil Loam, has been developed by a team of DSIR Land Resources scientists co-ordinated by Jenny August. It is based on their work on topsoil mining, waste recycling and land rehabilitation. The exact formula is a commercial secret, but the components are made up of organic and waste products. "We believe we can get a product with the same quality all the time," says August. "It will also be rich in nutrients and have the dark colour gardeners like." |
