The Mystery of the Universe

I don't find the fact that there is an extremely complex universe in existence very difficult to comprehend. First, let's imagine there is nothing, and that this state of nothingness is infinite. This is not too difficult to understand. However in such a state lets suppose that disturbances occur. They could just be fluctuations and could be balanced by negative disturbances happening at the same time. I don't find this difficult to visualise because this positive and negative disturbances could balance each other out.

I see the whole universe and its time of existence as being just a small disturbance in this "infinite state of nothingness". If one imagines there are an infinite number of disturbances, as there easily could be in a state of "nothingness" that is infinite; one of these disturbances is bound to occur with the right characteristics to be our universe which contains man.

This theory is also satisfying because there is no need to postulate a God who organised everything and which also leads to the unanswered question "Where does God come from?". Our creation then is just one possibility in an infinite number of possibilities and, as such, I see it as being bound to occur.
