The Ministry for the Environment has produced a directory of organisations involved in aspects of sustainable land management to enable people with an interest in the area, or a need for information, to get in contact. The directory is divided into nine sections: Landcare groups, Maori organisations, Central Government, Local Government, Industry and National Associations, Research organisations, Educational Institutes, Consultants, and even includes some Australian organisations.

This directory would be of particular use to landowners who wish to sustainably manage their natural resources, environmental consultants who wish to advertise their services, and students or researchers seeking opportunities and outlets for research. The Ministry intends to update this directory regularly and copies can be obtained free from the Ministry for the Environment. Conversely you can search for entries at, or add a new entry to, the net database at http://www.landcare.org.nz/db/search.asp.

Craig Miller has an interest in conservation, ecological restoration and the sustainable use of natural resources.
