Electronic Fossil

A design for a combined digital camera, video camera and miniature broadcast studio has led to international success for Xitij Mistry, a third-year Design student at UNITEC Institute of Technology.

Its shape inspired by fossil shells, the swirling spiral system won the New Zealand section of the "Sony Ahead" design competition and gained third place out of over 3,000 entries in the international judging in Singapore. Sony intends to market it within the next five years.
