RetortsMuseum MusingsConcerning Mike Hamblyn's piece on museums [Viewpoint, June], you have to ask whether it's appropriate for museums to be doing research in the first place. Surely their primary function is to educate and entertain the public, but Hamblyn seems to deplore this.
