Teletext Weather

Teletext has launched its fully automated weather service with speciality forecasts for New Zealand's yachties and fishermen. This is the most comprehensive, free, national weather service available.

The weather service includes forecasts for 32 regional centres throughout New Zealand including minimum and maximum temperatures. It also provides long-range and mountain forecasts.

The data is supplied from the New Zealand Meteorological Service's computers in Wellington which are directly connected to the Teletext computer in Auckland. Forecasts are updated three times a day, seven days a week. More frequent updates are planned.
