Science Sponsorship

Bayer NZ has announced a $50,000 sponsorship package for secondary school science departments.

The company is offering 10 sponsorship packages, and five scholarships for tertiary study. The packages include science equipment, photographic products, molecular models and a resource kit, selected after consultation with senior science teachers and educationalists.

"Teachers need this sort of resource to motivate and inspire their students, and to help catch their imagination. It is teaching with imagination and flair which creates the scientists of tomorrow, rather than just kids with a little bit of knowledge about science," says Scientific Supplies sales manager Barbara Linton.

Application forms for the sponsorships can be obtained through Bayer's Auckland office and must be in by October 30th.
